Revised Date Sheet Announced for Class 8th Examinations in Jammu and Kashmir

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the State Council of Educational Research and Training, has released the revised date sheet for the Middle Standard Examination (Summative Assessment) for Class 8th, scheduled for the academic session 2023-2024.

The examination, set to commence from March 13th, 2024, will be conducted in two zones: I-Soft zone areas and II-Hard zone areas.

In the I-Soft zone areas, the examinations for subjects like Hindi/Urdu, Mathematics, and Regional Languages will take place from March 13th to April 2nd, 2024.

On the other hand, in the II-Hard zone areas, subjects including Science, Social Science, and English will be examined from March 26th to April 7th, 2024.

It is imperative for students to adhere strictly to the already notified examination centers and follow all instructions provided for appearing in the examination.

The Complex Heads have been instructed to ensure the strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for conducting the examination.

Additionally, candidates must carry their admit cards for verification on all examination days.

The Joint Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training, in a notice dated March 2nd, 2024, emphasized the importance of timely dissemination of this information and directed various authorities to ensure wider publicity through electronic and print media.

The revised date sheet has been communicated to relevant authorities including Divisional Commissioners, Chairpersons of the JK Board of School Education, Directors of School Education, and Chief Education Officers.
